Design Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Medical Device Design Engineer to design and develop custom surgical tools using Siemens NX. This role will create detailed CAD models and engineering drawings, refine designs based on project requirements, and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to support development from concept through production. The ideal candidate has at least five years of CAD design experience, preferably within the medical device industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design custom surgical tools and instruments using Siemens NX, including 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings.


• Translate customer and engineering requirements into functional, precise, and manufacturable designs.


• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to evaluate materials, tolerances, and manufacturing methods.


• Support prototyping, design reviews, and testing, incorporating feedback into design improvements.


• Maintain accurate design documentation, drawing revisions, and engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of CAD design experience in mechanical or product design.


• Proficiency in Siemens NX, including 3D modeling, assembly design, and drafting.


• Medical device experience is highly desired, particularly the design of surgical tools or instruments.


• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively while managing individual design assignments.
