DePuy Synthes, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a TruMatch Design Technician in Warsaw, IN.

On October 14, 2025, Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals.

 It is anticipated following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes, and your employment would be governed by Orthopaedics employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Details of any planned changes would be provided to you by Orthopaedics at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

DePuy Synthes, Inc. develops and markets products under DePuy Orthopaedics, Inc. Among these are products for reconstructing damaged or diseased joints; repairing and reconstructing traumatic skeletal injuries; facilitating the treatment of spinal disorders and deformity; surgical treatment of neurological and central nervous system disorders, and sports medicine devices for the treatment of soft tissue injuries. DePuy has three main locations: Warsaw IN, Raynham MA and Leeds, UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Developing and designing surgical proposals, completing segmentation designs for total knee replacement (TKA) from computer Tomography (CT) images, CAD models and product drawings by following standardized work instructions.
  • Ability to cross train in multiple departments
  • Analyzing patient CT images to optimize product design, and partnering with a case management coordinator to prioritize proposals and product designs based on customer demand.
  • Checking and releasing previously designed image segmentation, proposals and models to ensure a high level of quality. 
  • Assist with concept development under the supervision of Product Development Engineers, or be assigned to special projects as needed.
  • Work closely with Process Improvement Engineers to troubleshoot, solve problems, and provide suggestions for future improvements.
  • Maintain a schedule of deadlines and tasks, and possess the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience working in team-oriented project groups is strongly preferred
  • Able to take initiative & be self-managing
  • Provide feedback & may mentor as required
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Engineering or related technical field.
  • A minimum of 1 years of design experience with CAD/CAM systems and advanced design applications.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of related job experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of three-dimensional modeling and PLM software is required.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic product design is required.
  • Knowledge of orthopedic anatomy and medical terminology is highly preferred.
  • Drafting and layout experience, project or product management, GD&T, ASME, rapid prototyping applications, free form modeling techniques, and engineering calculations is preferred.
  • Unigraphics/ NX, AMIRA, MIMICS, Parametric software experience, GeoMagic, and PLM experience is preferred.
