Detail Supervisor / Lead Detail Technician

Full Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Possible Saturdays  8am-12pm

We are looking for a Detail Supervisor to lead our Detail Department. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who takes pride in quality detailing, enjoys working alongside a team, and can keep a busy department organized, productive, and running smoothly.
 

This is not a desk-only supervisor position. You will lead and coordinate the Detail Team while also working alongside them and performing hands-on detailing when needed. The right person will be comfortable setting the standard, teaching others, and jumping in to get the job done.

What You'll Do

· Lead and coordinate the daily work of our Detail Technicians.

· Schedule and assign work based on vehicle priorities and department needs.

· Keep vehicles moving through the department efficiently.

· Monitor quality, productivity, and completion times.

· Inspect finished vehicles and ensure they meet company quality standards.

· Train, coach, and support Detail Technicians.

· Lead by example and demonstrate proper detailing techniques and work standards.

· Work alongside the Detail Team and assist with detailing as needed to maintain department workflow.

· Work closely with our Sales and Service teams to coordinate vehicle needs, priorities, and completion times.

· Keep the Detail Department clean, organized, and operating efficiently.

· Manage detailing supplies, chemicals, tools, and equipment.

· Ensure safe work practices and company procedures are followed.

· Help identify and address workflow, quality, and staffing issues.

· Provide direction and accountability while maintaining a positive and professional team environment.

You'll Also Be Hands-On

· Interior and exterior vehicle detailing

· Vacuuming and deep cleaning

· Leather and vinyl cleaning and conditioning

· Glass cleaning

· Wheel and tire cleaning

· Waxing, polishing, and buffing

· Paint and surface protection

· Minor paint touch-up

· Other vehicle detailing services as needed

What We're Looking For

· Has professional automotive detailing experience.

· Is organized and able to prioritize multiple vehicles and assignments.

· Communicates well with coworkers and other departments.

· Is dependable and takes ownership of their work.

· Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

· Leads by example and is willing to work alongside the team.

· Has a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Previous supervisory experience is a plus, but strong detailing experience and demonstrated leadership ability are also valuable.

Compensation

Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
