Developer Evangelism Strategy\n\n * Define and own the developer evangelism strategy aligned with Qualcomm platform priorities, product roadmaps, and go-to-market objectives.\n\n\n\n\n * Identify priority developer audiences, personas, and ecosystems across AI, IoT, XR, Datacenter, Compute, and related domains.\n\n\n\n\n * Establish evangelism goals, success metrics, and KPIs (e.g., developer adoption, engagement, content effectiveness).\n\n\n\n\n * Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing teams to align messaging, workflows, and developer journeys.\n\n\n\n\n * Represent the developer voice internally by synthesizing insights, feedback, and trends to influence product and platform decisions.\n\n\n\n\n2\\. Team Management \u0026 Leadership\n\n * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Developer Evangelists, providing clear direction, prioritization, and coaching.\n\n\n\n\n * Foster a culture of technical excellence, experimentation, and developer-first thinking.\n\n\n\n\n * Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, goal setting, and career development planning.\n\n\n\n\n * Coordinate workload across content creation, events, product launches, and ecosystem engagements.\n\n\n\n\n * Act as an escalation point for complex technical, content, or execution challenges.\n\n\n\n\n3\\. Developer Content Definition \u0026 Execution\n\n * Own the end-to-end developer content strategy, ensuring consistency, quality, and scalability across all developer touchpoints.\n\n\n\n\n * Define, create, and guide content including: \n\n\n\n\n * Technical demonstrations and reference designs\n\n\n\n\n * Validated developer journeys for SW and HW platforms\n\n\n\n\n * Tutorials, sample code, and \u201cgetting started\u201d guides\n\n\n\n\n * Hands-on workshops and labs for events and training\n\n\n\n\n * Hackathon enablement content and challenge frameworks\n\n\n\n\n * Webinars, livestreams, and technical deep dives\n\n\n\n\n * Technical blog posts, articles, and thought leadership\n\n\n\n\n * Technical papers and architectural documentation as inbound developer advocacy\n\n\n\n\n * Ensure content is hands-on, practical, and adoption-focused, with clear outcomes for developers.\n\n\n\n\n * Review and approve content generated by the team for technical accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Qualcomm positioning.\n\n\n\n\n4. Cross-Functional \u0026 External Engagement\n\n * Serve as a senior technical representative at conferences, workshops, hackathons, and partner events.\n\n\n\n\n * Collaborate with ecosystem partners, startups, universities, and platforms to expand Qualcomm\u2019s developer reach.\n\n\n\n\n * Work with agencies and external contributors to scale programs, content, and events when needed.\n\n\n\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\n\n * A clearly defined and measurable developer evangelism strategy.\n\n\n\n\n * A high-performing, motivated developer evangelist team.\n\n\n\n\n * High-quality technical content that accelerates developer onboarding and platform adoption.\n\n\n\n\n * Strong internal alignment and trust as the voice of developers within Qualcomm.\n\n\n\n\nWhile there is a strong preference for this position to be located in San Diego, remote work can be considered for the position.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. \nOR \nMaster\u0027s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. \nOR \nPhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. \n \n\u2022 3+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. \n\u2022 3+ years of experience with debugging techniques.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Master\u2019s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science\n\n\n\n\n * 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Developer Relations, Developer Marketing, Technical Evangelism, or Software Engineering.\n\n\n\n\n * 3+ years of experience managing or leading technical teams.\n\n\n\n\n * Strong hands-on technical foundation with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.\n\n\n\n\n * Demonstrated experience creating and delivering developer-facing technical content and experiences.\n\n\n\n\n * Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.\n\n\n\n\n * Experience with AI, IoT, XR, Datacenter, or Compute platforms.\n\n\n\n * Familiarity with open-source ecosystems and developer communities.\n\n\n\n\n * Experience supporting global-scale developer events, workshops, or hackathons.\n\n\n\n\n * Background working in platform, semiconductor, or infrastructure-focused companies.\n\n\n\n\nQualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
