OVERVIEW:
DeSales University, in Center Valley, PA, is a private, coeducational, four-year liberal arts Salesian, Catholic university, under the leadership of the Oblates of Saint Francis de Sales. Founded in 1965, the 550-acre suburban campus is located 50 miles north of Philadelphia and about 90 miles southwest of New York City. A total enrollment of nearly 3,500 includes undergraduate day and evening students, and graduate students. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Development Associate provides comprehensive development and fundraising support to the PSF Director of Development and assists with donor communications and stewardship, CRM/database management, gift processing and acknowledgements, reporting and mailing lists, prospect research, special events, grant proposals and research, sponsorship fulfillment, digital and social media management, gala décor committee, and other development duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in development, nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, CRM/database management, special events, communications, social media, or a related field.
- Demonstrated special-event planning and execution experience, including donor cultivation, stewardship, sponsorship, or fundraising events.
- Experience with social media and digital communications, preferably in a nonprofit, arts, education, or mission-driven environment.
- Strong prospect research, project-management, communication and organizational skills.
- Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as necessary
- Must be able to work in a team environment
