Visit Welcome to Leadville, Colorado to learn more. \n\n## What You Will Do\n\n * Perform diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders.\n * Perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions, engines, breaks, differentials, pumps, motors, torque convertors, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components.\n * Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems such as: hydraulic, power train and engines.\n * Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed.\n * Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections.\n * Operate mobile equipment such as: Overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks.\n * Perform welding such as: Carbon arc, Plasma, Mig, Tig, and Stick.\n * Perform as a Fill-in Supervisor as required.\n * Train and mentor other employees.\n * Perform other duties as required.\n\n\n\n## What You Bring To Freeport\n\n * Two (2) years\u2019 experience in mechanical/maintenance crafts (including welder, boilermaker, machinist or facility maintenance/construction) or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance.\n * Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required mechanical aptitude.\n * HEM Diagnostic Mechanic I: Practical Skills Assessments defined in LOP.\n * Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English\n * Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards\n * Ability to prioritize repairs and possess excellent decision-making skills\n * Ability to troubleshoot machine systems\n * Ability to work and effectively communicate with others\n * Ability to read and use blueprints\n\n\n\n## Preferred Qualifications\n\n * High School Diploma or GED\n\n\n\nWhat We Offer You \n\nThe estimated pay range for this role is currently $30.00 - $40.50/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors.
