Diesel Mechanic Field Service Technician

Job Summary:
We are a leading national equipment rental company seeking a skilled Road Mechanic / Field Service Technician to perform maintenance, diagnostics, and advanced repairs on heavy equipment at customer job sites. This role offers hands-on field work, career growth, and the opportunity to work with a wide range of construction and industrial equipment.

You will service and repair aerial work platforms, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and general construction equipment while ensuring safety, reliability, and top-tier customer service in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and advanced repairs at customer locations
• Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical system issues
• Service construction equipment, including lifts, generators, pumps, and specialty machinery
• Maintain safety standards in all fields and job site environments
• Travel locally/regionally as needed for service calls

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–2+ years experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Technician, or Field Service Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems troubleshooting
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL may be required in some locations)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in indoor/outdoor environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Trade school or technical training in mechanics or electrical systems
• Experience with construction equipment, generators, pumps, or HVAC systems
• ASE or IFPS certification
• Bilingual (Spanish a plus)
• Military mechanical experience is welcomed
