Diesel Mechanic - Full Time
Location: Hillsboro, OR, 97124
Responsibilities:
Know how to repair/operate specific equipment including trucks up to class 8, trailers, dual lane trailers, line trailers, forklifts and pickups.
Running diagnostics on different trucks and equipment.
Regular inspections, repairs and scheduled maintenance.
Complete any repairs that are needed such as repairing worn-out parts, etc.
Daily maintenance and repair logs.
Removes unsafe equipment from service and make appropriate repair(s) to return equipment to service.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
5+ years mechanic experience
CDL preferred.
Must own their own tools.
Knowledge in the repairs semi-trucks/trailers
Strong knowledge in hydraulics and electrical systems
Experience working with air brakes and fuel systems.
Knowledge of DOT inspection on trucks and trailers.
Ability to use hand and power tools to repair trucks and trailers.
Ability to read repair manuals, electrical schematics and hydraulic schematics.
Valid driver’s license
Excellent mechanical repair skills
Ability to follow instructions.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be able to operate a computer and keep thorough records of repairs/inspections.
