T
he Diesel Technician position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly and Flag Rate Compensation of between $34.00 and $45.00, plus a productivity bonus equivalent up to a maximum hourly rate of $56.00 per hour based on individual performance.

Responsibilities:
The Diesel Technician will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel vehicles, including Ram trucks and other CDJR diesel products. This role requires strong diagnostic ability, pride in workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a dealership environment.
- Perform diesel diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Ram and CDJR vehicles
- Diagnose drivability concerns, check engine lights, DEF/SCR issues, turbo concerns, fuel system issues, cooling system issues, electrical faults, and engine performance concerns
- Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs according to manufacturer standards
- Complete accurate repair documentation including complaint, cause, correction, findings, and recommended repairs
- Communicate clearly with advisors, foremen, and parts department to keep repairs moving
- Follow dealership and manufacturer repair procedures
- Inspect vehicles and recommend needed maintenance or repairs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Stay current with manufacturer training and technical updates
- Help support shop production, quality repairs, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Previous diesel technician experience required
- CDJR/Ram diesel experience preferred
- Cummins diesel experience strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with DEF/SCR systems, turbo systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, and drivability concerns preferred
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to flag efficiently while maintaining quality repairs
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-first attitude
- ASE certifications preferred but not required
- Stellantis training or certifications preferred but not required
Strong automotive background
Ability to read and comprehend instructions
Ability to exercise good judgment
