Diesel Truck Technician - Sign-On Bonus Available 2+ Years Experience Tom Nehl, the undisputed best heavy-duty truck dealership in Northeast Florida and South Georgia, is looking for experienced and qualified Diesel Truck Technicians to join our service team. Position Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty trucks utilizing diagnostic computer software.
- Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
- Troubleshoot drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel emission, brakes, steering, hydraulics, adjusting, and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
- Utilize repair orders to aid in the diagnosis and repair of heavy-duty trucks.
- Utilize software to create service records documenting the complaint, cause, and correction of vehicle issues.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a diesel truck technician.
- License and/or certification preferred or the willingness to acquire
- Commercial Driver’s License preferred.
- Must provide own set of tools.
- Freightliner, Volvo, and CAT engine certifications are a plus.
