Job Description - Dietary Assistant






Responsibilities






  • Works under general supervision in the preparation and serving of patient trays. 
  • Prepares late trays for patients as well as between meal nourishments.
  • Assists, as necessary, in the cafeteria line and dish room.
  • Adheres to local, state, federal and other regulatory agency standards, codes and laws.








Qualifications






  • Ability to read and write well enough to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to effectively deal with a variety of people.
  • Ability to use independent judgement which is usually acquired through a completion of a high school education.
  • Three months on-the-job training required prior to assuming full responsibilities.
