Job Title: Dietician
Location: Washington, DC
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Completion of a didactic program in dietetics accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetic Education (CADE).
  • Completion of a CADE accredited supervised practicum.
  • Certification by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Possession of a current, full, and unrestricted license to perform dietician/nutritionist services in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
Duties:
  • Develop cycle menus for various diet types including therapeutic, heart healthy (regular), and special diets.
  • Assess and evaluate food preparation processes, ensuring proper temperature, portion control, and presentation.
  • Monitor the nutritional value and quality of food, ensuring adherence to sanitation standards.
  • Upon receiving therapeutic or special diet orders, direct and monitor the preparation, serving, and tracking of these meals to ensure compliance with dietary requirements.
