About the American Connection Corps:
The American Connection Corps (ACC), an AmeriCorps program of Lead For America (LFA), is a service fellowship program aimed at helping communities build the digital connectivity necessary to expand opportunity and economic mobility, ranging from healthcare access to quality employment.
ACC Members spend a year serving with locally-rooted organizations, helping address the digital divide and strengthen access to opportunity. Through their service, they gain hands-on experience, build in-demand skills, and explore career pathways while making a tangible impact in their communities.
About Seattle King County Workforce Development Council
ACC Members will support individuals visiting WorkSource Centers by helping them access the internet, navigate online resources, and build essential digital skills. Through hands-on instruction and one-on-one support, they will reduce barriers to employment and education, increase confidence in using technology, and expand access to opportunities that strengthen economic mobility in the community.
Position Overview
Support WorkSource customers in developing digital equity skills by delivering digital literacy classes and one-on-one technical assistance. Help job seekers navigate technology-based job search activities, including completing online job applications, creating WorkSourceWA accounts, and building resumes. Responsibilities also include providing instruction on basic computer navigation in WorkSource community resource rooms.

All functions and activities performed by the AmeriCorps Member are completed under the guidance, supervision, and direction of program and host site staff.

We are currently recruiting Members to serve from September 8th, 2026 - August 13th, 2027. Members will serve full-time (approximately 40 hours per week), completing 1700 hours of service over the course of the term.
