Job Description - Dining Services Food Worker - 9 Month

Job Description Summary

The Dining Services Food Worker supports Saint Leo University’s Dining Services by providing high-quality food preparation and customer service in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. This position assists with food preparation, service, sanitation, and operational support while adhering to all food safety and health standards. Employees may be assigned to work in any dining location or functional area as needed to support operations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food according to established standards and supervisor direction.
  • Deliver professional, courteous customer service to students, faculty, staff, and guests.
  • Maintain clean, sanitized workstations, equipment, and service areas.
  • Follow all HACCP, food safety, and health regulations, including temperature monitoring and food labeling.
  • Stock, set up, and break down service areas, salad bars, and buffets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support dining operations across locations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Food service or related experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a diverse, inclusive environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
  • Access to reliable transportation.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and navigate stairs.
