Direct Care Professional- Life Coach - Full Time 2nd Shift

Our Life Coaches are critical to the success of our organization. As a Life Coach, you will interact with our adolescents regularly. These important interactions entail talking through decision-making, providing guidance, and managing daily life tasks. POSITION: LIFE COACH – Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 2nd Shift - 12 Hour Shift 6pm-6am Thurs-Sat and 6 hrs on Wednesday, Midnight to 6am.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Help young men ( ages 13-18) find direction and reach their full potential


• Empower youth and establish realistic plans to achieve individual goals


• Get to know each of the youth quickly, access their goals efficiently and formulate strategies to help meet their goals


• Utilize electronic data system to document and track services; (such as Daily Progress Notes and Critical Incident Reports)


• Utilize various strategies to encourage and motivate youth to meet their goals


• Dispense residents medications and properly document medications given


• Adhere to organization’s policies and procedures providing an environment of consistency


• Understand the importance of safety and how to prevent critical incidents


• Help to maintain a clean living environment at all times


• Teach youth appropriate life skills and help work through negative behaviors


• Transport youth to and from appointments and social events; safely and timely


• Build positive relationships with youth DAILY; goal of every day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age


• Must have graduated High School or completed GED


• Must have a current driver’s license (good driving record)


• Must pass a KBI and FBI background check


• Must be willing to undergo a Health Assessment


• Two or more years of experience working with male adolescents with behavioral type issues or continuing education in the field of Psychology, Social Work, or Criminal Justice preferred 

• CPR Certification preferred
