About Us:

Neulife Rehabilitation (NLR) provides post-acute rehabilitation and residential services for individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injuries, and Neurological Disorders.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Direct Care Staff professional with experience supporting individuals with ABI and TBI injurie that wll care for patients in NeuLife' s neurological rehabilitation setting, under direction of nursing and medical staff, by performing the following duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Lifts, turns, moves, positions, and transports clients as appropriate for their condition


• Assists clients with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting


• Follows NeuLife' s safety policies and procedures when lifting, turning, moving, positioning, or transporting a client or assisting with the client with normal daily activities


• Accurately documents and charts patient care to include vitals and personal interactions


• Respond to call lights promptly. Resolves client issue at time of initial response


• Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards clients


• Assists in the evacuation of patients


• Demonstrates dependable, regular attendance. Arrived to work on time and departs as scheduled. "40 hours or until the job is completed".


• Demonstrates ability to concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment


• Demonstrates ability to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team


• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours


• without restrictions


• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required


• Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with ABI or TBI preferred


• Certified Medication Aide (CMA) or Med Tech certification preferred


• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)


• Ability to lift, transfer, and physically assist individuals with mobility limitations


• Strong observational, communication, and teamwork skills


• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
