Direct Care Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support to clients in Lake Orion, MI. This role involves assisting individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life in a supportive and respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.


• Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs as required.


• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition to supervisors.


• Help with medication reminders and ensure clients follow prescribed treatment plans.


• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.


• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.


• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in direct care or a related field is an asset.


• Ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with clients and team members.


• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.


• Must pass background checks.


• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
