Direct Support Professional

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Encourage and support individuals in following their unique care plans and achieving their goals.
• Facilitate community integration and socialization opportunities for individuals.
• Document individual progress and health status while maintaining records as needed.
• Prepare and maintain a safe, secure, and clean environment for individuals.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the best outcomes for individuals.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant education in human services, psychology, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in direct support or similar roles is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with individuals and their families.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following applicable regulations.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community engagement.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or must be obtained within the first month of employment.
