Direct Support Professional

Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, daily routines, and essential tasks such as meal preparation and medication management.
• Support individual clients in achieving their personal goals, fostering independence and self-advocacy.
• Facilitate community engagement and social interaction through planned activities and outings.
• Document individual progress and maintain clear and accurate records of care and interactions.
• Implement safety protocols to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients.
• Collaborate with staff members and family members to optimize care strategies and address client needs.

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant experience in caregiving or social services is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community activities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or must be obtained shortly after hiring.
