Our employees teach valuable daily life skills to people in the Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) living in their own homes. They create and maintain a safe, and life-enhancing environment for adults with PWS, a serious genetic disorder with unique neurological, physical, behavioral, and psychological characteristics helping them live full lives.
What you will be doing:
Provide training and assistance to the people you support so that they achieve their personal goals and those identified in their person-centered plans.
Teach independent living skills such as household tasks, money management, life skills and assistance with personal hygiene and care activities daily.
Support community integration and development of social skills through recreational and community engagement activities.
Monitor medication and accompany the people you support to medical appointments.
Ensure dietary management by maintaining food security and implementing individual menu plans as established by a dietician and maintain weight records.
Participate in the programmatic routine of physical activity designed to strengthen bones, increase muscle mass, and improve overall body composition.
Contribute to the development and documentation of behavior support plans.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and third-party agencies.
Participate in team meetings and training as well as agency-wide training opportunities.

What you will bring:
Friendly, helpful attitude, willing to go the extra mile.
Experience working with individuals with I/DD - or other experience you find would be helpful for this position.
CA driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to pass LiveScan fingerprint clearance.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
A positive outlook and the urge to make a difference.
Prior experience with PWS strongly preferred, but not required
Prior experience working as a DSP, CNA, or similar role in a related field
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time; Primarily roughly 3pm-10pm shifts, and flexible weekend availability. Pay: $29.00 per hour Work Location: In person - Novato, California Benefits:
