As a DSP, you’ll work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD), supporting daily routines, community involvement, and personal goals in a way that is engaging, respectful, and empowering.

What You’ll Do

• Support daily routines (cooking, cleaning, personal care with the client)


• Help clients get into the community and stay engaged


• Follow care plans and goals


• Communicate with families and your team


• Complete notes and documentation 


• Ensure safety and well-being at all times

Current Clients Needing Additional Support 

Client 1:

• Female | 28 yrs | 97023


• Schedule: Pretty flexible on hours, Need Monday and Friday 6-8 hours at a time (either day works) 


• Likes: Animals, being outdoors, Youtube videos, Spider Man


• Needs: Someone who takes time to figure out her communication style, someone who will take her into the community, and will help her to attend community events.


•  You will need to be Nurse Delegated (which will be done once hired)

Client 2:

• Female | 41 yrs | 97023


• Schedule: 7am-10am on Wednesdays 


• Likes: Her cat, her dog, Art work, Paint by numbers, Harry Potter (loves making wands) going for walks, going to the library, enjoys being read to, watching television (Cake Boss, Gordan Ramsey)


• Needs: Someone who is caring and patient, Familiar with picture communication books, Someone who make sure they are always close to her and learns her prompts

Requirements

• 18+ years old


• High school diploma or equivalent


• 1+ year of caregiving or related experience


• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation


• Smartphone required


• Ability to pass a state required background check


• CPR/First Aid/AED (or willing to obtain)
