Reporting to the Corporate Counsel, the Director, Corporate Counsel will be responsible for navigating legal and business issues in a complex domestic and international environment, supporting 45+ business units worldwide.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft and negotiate both (i) ordinary course and (ii) large-scale commercial contracts including supply, procurement, channel partner, joint development, licensing, professional services, non-disclosure, and consignment / Kanban and settlement agreements.
- Utilize knowledge of Articles 2 and 9 of the UCC, working with counsel in other jurisdictions to manage the interplay of foreign laws with U.S. law, and the remedies available in court systems and arbitration panels.
- Manage and resolve disputes related to commercial matters, working with the business units and internal and outside counsel, as appropriate.
- Work with other AMETEK attorneys to oversee compliance with AMETEK’s global sell-side commercial contracting process and policy.
- Conduct training and educational sessions with business units on AMETEK’s commercial requirements and positions.
- Develop working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA and similar privacy requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- JD degree and bar admission required.
- Minimum 7 years of legal experience in a firm or industry.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position may supervise others and may be responsible for the performance management, hiring, development and coaching of employees.
