Primary Purpose of the Role:
The Director of Digital Mobilization will lead NPCA’s social media, online advocacy and podcasting, driving strategic innovation in reaching and mobilizing a nationwide community of national park advocates. As a key leader in the communications department, they will help support a culture of excellence and push the envelope in developing creative digital solutions. The Director will directly supervise a small team responsible for social media, video podcasting and online advocacy, setting strategy and vision while advancing campaign and brand goals. This position will be responsible for continuously assessing external and internal drivers of change for NPCA’s digital outreach, as well as identifying industry trends, market pressures, political shifts and policy outcomes, and lead the team in adapting to change.
Essential Functions of the Position (% of Time):
-Online advocacy via email, SMS and related toolsets
-Social media across mainstream platforms
-Video podcast and shortform video production

Participate in administrative staff meetings, organization-wide meetings, staff committee meetings, training programs, and attend other meetings and seminars as designated by the supervisor. Assist in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Minimum Work Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Thursday (32-hour work week)
Minimum Scope of Position: Lead NPCA’s digital engagement and mobilization team, providing strategic guidance and direction for social media, email advocacy and video podcasting. Supervise up to four direct reports from Manager to Associate Director level.
