Director, Medical Training

The Director evaluates results against organizational goals, adapting and refining strategies, as needed. The Director develops an annual budget and demand plan, partnering with internal and external resources, as appropriate.

Establish worldwide Medical learning strategy and ensure tight alignment between strategy, execution, spend, and results
a. Serve as a strategic partner to Medical functional leadership and cultivate deep business knowledge (including field needs) to inform learning strategy
b. Ensure learning plans are proactive, scalable, global, adaptive, rigorous and measureable
c. Evaluate impact against business goals and refine strategy as appropriate

Apply learning expertise to determine when and where learning can be a lever to drive performance
a. Employ cutting edge, innovative technologies and approaches
b. Create a culture of learning in Medical to drive performance
c. Engage, leverage and support SMEs in business

Lead Medical Training team to drive execution of learning strategy and associated business outcomes
a. Leverage Learning Operations team (shared services)
b. Leverage cross functional partners within Medical and Learning to maximize internal resources
c. Manage vendors, as needed

Provide administrative oversight, manage budgets and timelines and ensure adherence to all relevant policies and SOPs

5 years experience in related role
Medical, learning, field experience experience strongly preferred. Global experience strongly preferredMasters or doctorate in Business, Learning, Psychology, Biological Sciences or related field (or equivalent experie

The Director, Medical Training advances Biogen’s corporate strategy and drives business results by proactively aligning learning and development with the highest priority needs of the Worldwide Medical organization. The Director leads a team of learning partners and training managers and works with key stakeholders and leaders in the business to drive the learning strategy and consistent global execution of Medical learning initiatives for measurable impact.
