Job Description - Director of Business Development - Healthcare Construction

We are seeking a Director of Business Development who will lead our growth efforts by identifying opportunities, strengthening client partnerships, and advancing pursuit strategies in key markets. This role is ideal for a driven professional who brings industry insight, credibility, and a passion for building meaningful connections that support Murray Company’s long-term goals.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and execute business development strategies for assigned markets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry contacts.
Identify, track, and pursue new project opportunities and market trends.
Lead or support RFQs, RFPs, interviews, and other pursuit activities.
Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to position Murray Company for success.
Represent the company at industry events, association meetings, and community functions.
Contribute to sales forecasting, pipeline management, and long-range growth planning.
Support team development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement efforts.
Skills & Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
10+ years of related business development, sales, marketing, or construction industry experience.
Proven ability to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
Experience leading pursuit efforts and collaborating across teams.
Strategic mindset with strong organization and follow-through.
Commercial construction experience, preferred.
Available to national travel for business growth, with up to 75% travel based on organizational needs, including occasional overnight and weekend commitments, required.
