Job Description - Director of Catering & Events






Role Overview






Sodexo is seeking an exceptional Director of Catering & Events to oversee a high‑visibility, high‑expectation events portfolio within a major global technology workplace. This role calls for a strategic, hospitality‑driven leader who can elevate workplace experiences through thoughtful design, flawless execution, and a deep commitment to service.

As the senior leader for all catering and event experiences, you will shape a program that blends creativity, precision, and modern workplace culture — delivering gatherings that feel intentional, polished, and memorable. You’ll partner closely with client stakeholders, lead a high‑performing team, and ensure every experience — from executive meetings to large‑scale activations — reflects excellence at every touchpoint. What You'll Do






  • Lead the full catering and events program including strategy, planning, execution, and post‑event evaluation
  • Serve as the primary client liaison for all catering and event needs, ensuring alignment, trust, and proactive communication
  • Design and execute elevated event experiences that reflect the client’s culture, brand, and workplace expectations
  • Partner cross‑functionally with culinary leadership to deliver chef‑driven menus and premium hospitality moments
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team across planning, production, service, and event operations
  • Oversee operational and financial performance including forecasting, budgeting, labor planning, and vendor management
  • Drive continuous improvement through data, feedback, and a commitment to innovation and excellence

Qualifications & Requirements






Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience – 5 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 5 years
