On Time Talent Solutions is seeking a Director of Compliance and Coding who will be responsible for developing and executing key performance indicators with the Coding department.

Director of Compliance and Coding Responsibilities:

• Conduct periodic training workshops to promote awareness of governance, risk management, and internal controls




• Direct programs, policies, and practices to ensure that all business units are in compliance with financial policy and reporting regulations




• Oversees preparation and presentation of reports to the Audit Committee and/or the Compliance Committee, as applicable, and recommends solutions, guidance, and remedies




• Maintain knowledge of current technical and professional coding certification requirements and promote recruitment and retention of certified staff in coding positions




• Conduct meetings with providers to review coding and documentation issues, and educate on governmental and managed care specific requirements




• Oversees activities around the annual independent audit and works closely with the independent audit firm to ensure a smooth, successful and timely audit

Director of Compliance and Coding Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, or other appropriate field is required. Masters Degree is preferred




• Requires a professional level of knowledge of medical, ICD9CM, ICD10, CPT and HCPCS coding terminology and documentation standards and guidelines




• Five (5) years of professional experience as an auditor including two (2) years in healthcare industry




• Requires knowledge of relational databases; previous SQL experience preferred




• Certification in Healthcare Compliance a plus




• Information systems audit or other experiences a plus




• Experience using computerized audit tools such as IDEA a plus
