JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Director of Curriculum & Instruction who will be responsible for the continuous development and delivery of our K-12 Test Prep, SAT/ACT/ISEE curriculum, teaching test prep classes, and training the new tutors.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Develop continuing education courses in print-based and online formats


• Review current SAT and ACT curriculum and make improvements as needed


• Develop and design SAT, ACT, ISEE workbooks, lesson plans using PowerPoint slides, and practice problems


• Create marketing materials for the company, such as sample questions and answers, blog posts, etc.


• Serve as the "public face" for the company when interacting with students and instructors


• Deliver demonstrations of the company's services to potential clients and referral sources


• Provide private tutoring of students, either one-on-one or in groups, potentially up to 30 hours a week


• Prospect new candidates through classroom observation, test scores & evaluations


• Develop and deliver training program for new hires and craft professional development workshops for existing tutors


• Collaborate with the Education Coordinator to deliver excellent customer service by guaranteeing support with classroom materials


• Assist with other projects -- flexibility is key!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field. (Master’s preferred)


• Extensive experience in curriculum development


• Broad experience as an ACT/SAT/ISEE instructor


• Deep knowledge of the SAT, ACT and other K-12 standardized tests


• Strong understanding of the US college application process


• Passionate educator who possess strong verbal and written skills


• Strong leadership and management skills


• Excellent interpersonal and listening skills as well as strong verbal communication abilities


• Creative and inspired to initiate and develop new educational programs

COMPENSATION:

Depending on experience the salary will be $45-75K per year, plus a generous bonus program.
