Description

Job Summary 


Responsible to the Associate Vice President for University Advancement and the Dean, College of Business and Technology for developing and coordinating a comprehensive strategic fundraising plan for the College of Business and Technology; conducting activities to raise private support; cultivating donor relationships with individuals, foundations, and the corporate and business sectors; and, performing other related duties as assigned. The position devotes approximately 75% of time to the CBAT, and 25% of time to University Advancement.

  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities           

  • Knowledge of current fundraising developments, best practices, techniques, and trends.

  • Knowledge of accounting, financial, organization, and management principles as those apply to fundraising in a university environment.

  • Ability to inspire confidence and trust for donors to make gifts to support the university.

  • Ability to be a positive, professional and ethical ambassador among diverse constituencies for the CBAT and the university.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage communications and interactions across multiple university departments.

  • Ability to work effectively with donors’ professional financial advisors.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree with three (3) or more years of experience in alumni relations, fundraising, development, or relevant sales or relationship-building, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
