A. General Description:
The Director of Digital Products and User Experience Design is responsible for developing an exemplary digital customer experience across the association’s mobile, community, collaboration, enterprise search, and select ASHA digital products. The Director drives the product vision/roadmap for assigned digital products and leads a team to optimize digital experiences for ASHA members and potential members. The Director is skilled at combining strategic thinking, analytical approach, and knowledge of user behavior to lead the digital product and user experience design. The incumbent is a champion the user’s perspective and will employ and model a member-centric approach in the development of new features and functions of digital collaboration and mobile products as well as other products.
The Director assists the Chief Digital Communications Officer in translating strategic direction into actionable roadmaps for the Digital Communications team. The incumbent is also responsible for communicating product vision and roadmap within cross-functional project teams and on behalf of the team to stakeholders, executives, and vendors.
The successful candidate leverages user and market research, industry best practices, and product management methodologies to drive multi-year product roadmaps. He/she is exceptionally imaginative, collaborative, and enthusiastic about translating member needs into the creation of high-quality digital, collaboration, and mobile experiences. The Director demonstrates success by using both quantitative and qualitative measurement methods.
