Director of Dining Services - Royale Oaks

Purpose of this position:  

The purpose of this position is to provide coverall management of a progressive and comprehensive, dining and nutritional service operation that meets the needs of the residents.

The Director is financially accountable for the Dining Services department. The Director works collaboratively with other departments, supports the development of programs to promote quality services. The Director assures the safety and sanitation of the Dining Services department in compliance governing health code regulations and company policies. The Director performs management-related functions to include hiring, scheduling, evaluating, training, and counseling in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Certificate in Dietary Management (CDM) or Certification in Food Service Management, or an associate degree or bachelor's degree in food service management and Restaurant Management is required.


• 5 years supervisory or leadership role in food service management.


• Previous experience in a retirement or health care setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily dining operations, ensuring high standards of food service management and hospitality.


• Train and supervise staff, fostering a positive team environment and enhancing service quality.


• Manage inventory control and food preparation processes to maintain efficiency.


• Implement and uphold health and safety regulations within the dining services.


• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate other food services as needed.


• Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to build a skilled team.
