Director Of Gaming Slots -Wendover

Director of Slots will be responsible for overall administration of all operations and functions of Slot services in alignment with the Mission and Objectives of the Company, and in full accordance with all operational policies and procedures. Works between Wendover Nugget Hotel & Casino and Red Garter Hotel & Casino.

 Pay range:$50,000k - $60,000k/ Yrly- DOE
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The duties listed below are examples of the work typically performed by an employee in this position. An employee may not be assigned all duties listed and may be assigned duties which are not listed below. M

· Formulates and administers department policies and activities, and develops both short- and long-term goals and objectives for the departments, in alignment with those of the property.

· Regularly reviews and evaluates slot services, slot maintenance departmental perform ances, working through division directors to take appropriate steps in resolving unsatisfactory results or conditions.

· Performs analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine Slots department and organizational progress toward stated goals and objectives.

· Confers with General Manager to review achievements and discuss needed changes in goals or objectives resulting from current or projected future status or conditions.

· Reviews and approves or denies recommendations and suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, terminate, recall, promote, discharge, evaluate, assign, train, develop, reward or discipline all Employees in the department, as necessary. Maintains appropriate staffing levels.

· Oversees the coordination of slot machine moves with slot manufacturers and appropriate in house personnel.

· Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company’s internal controls, policies and procedures.

· Sets priorities for Slot Operations, providing guidance and assistance as needed.

· Coordinates, organizes and implements projects on the casino floor and related facilities as they relate to operations.

· Maintains strict adherence to OSHA safety rules and regulations.

· Perform other Duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises Slot Operations; which would include subordinate supervisory and management personnel therein. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position typically works varied shifts, including weekend and holidays. Must be able to lift 25 pounds; this position would require professional business attire.
