The Human Resources Director provides operational leadership for the hospital’s Human Resources functions and workforce initiatives. Oversee daily operations of key HR areas including compensation, talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, performance management, and HR compliance. Partners with leaders to align people strategies with organizational goals, strengthen culture, and support workforce engagement and retention. Ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and organizational policies. Monitors HR performance metrics and workforce trends while identifying opportunities to improve processes, employee experience, organizational effectiveness, and operational efficiency. Develops and manages departmental budgets, staffing, and performance while fostering a culture of accountability, service, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time exempt position working Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00am-4:30pm.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Education:
a. Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business, Healthcare Administration, Business or related field is required.
· Certification:
a. A national certification in PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
· Experience:
a. 3-5 years’ experience in management. Experience in healthcare preferred.
b. 7-10 years of previous experience in HR or related field required.
· Skills/Competencies:
a. Strategic HR Leadership – Aligns HR priorities with organizational strategy and translates the CHRO’s vision into actionable workforce initiatives.
b. Employee Relations & Risk Management – Effectively manages complex employee relations matters while ensuring consistency, compliance, confidentiality, and appropriate risk mitigation.
c. Leadership & HR Business Partnership – Builds trusted relationships with leaders and coaches them to effectively manage performance, accountability, engagement, and culture.
d. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning – Develops strategies to attract, retain, and develop talent while anticipating future workforce needs.
e. HR Analytics & Business Acumen – Uses workforce data and business metrics to identify trends, measure results, and support informed decisions.
f. Change Management & Organizational Development – Leads organizational change and develops programs that strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, succession, and organizational effectiveness.
g. Execution, Accountability & Continuous Improvement – Converts strategy into measurable results, improves HR processes, leverages technology and AI, and holds the HR team accountable for performance.

k. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Articulates and presents data, information, and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
