Job Title: Director of Imaging Services
Department: Radiology/Ultrasound/Central Scheduling

York General is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Imaging Services to lead the Radiology, Ultrasound, and Central Scheduling departments. This leadership position is responsible for the overall operation, strategic direction, regulatory compliance, quality performance, staffing, and resource management of Imaging Services throughout the organization. This role works collaboratively with physicians, clinical leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality diagnostic imaging services while advancing departmental excellence and patient care outcomes.

What You'll Do:



  • Direct the overall operations of the Radiology, Ultrasound, and Central Scheduling departments.

  • Lead, mentor, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate departmental staff while ensuring appropriate staffing levels and qualifications.

  • Maintain departmental policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee quality assurance programs and ensure all imaging services meet licensing and accreditation standards.

  • Develop and manage departmental goals, budgets, resources, and equipment needs.

  • Collaborate with physicians and organizational leaders to improve patient care, efficiency, and service delivery.

  • Assess community and market needs to identify opportunities for service growth and advancement.

  • Coordinate imaging and scheduling services with medical staff and other hospital departments.

  • Ensure imaging equipment and patient care environments are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized manner.

  • Serve on organizational committees, participate in leadership initiatives, and act as Administrator On Call as assigned.


What You'll Bring:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Successful completion of formal radiologic technology training from an AMA-approved program.

  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.

  • Current BLS certification required.

  • Board certification in CT and MRI preferred.

  • Minimum of three years of supervisory or leadership experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of radiologic technology, imaging operations, regulatory compliance, quality management, and patient safety practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
