Director of IT

POSITION DETAILS:

MFG is hiring a Director of IT to help lead in our growth. This position will supervise and works hands-on with the IT department.  As well as external business partners responsible for delivering contracted services to the company. This role will also be instrumental in identifying and prioritizing new IT initiatives, and work with senior management to identify strategic uses of technology critical to the company’s future success.

Responsibilities: 

• Creates and executes an IT strategic plan.


• Plans, develops, deploys, and supports IT and process improvement solutions throughout the company.


• Directs all IT operations to meet company needs as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technology.


• Works collaboratively with senior management to identify and prioritize strategic uses of technology.

• Leads and participates on projects that involve the use of technology and/or process improvement.


• Supervises IT team and takes a hands-on approach when needed.


• Oversees performance of external business partners and holds them accountable to deliver on service level agreements (SLAs).


• Negotiates fiscally responsible contracts/SLAs with external business partners.


• Communicates with all departments effectively regarding IT initiatives and any other tech related items.

Requirements:

• Experience with multiple POS systems is required


• Ability to strategically manage and optimize application portfolios for a large multi-unit operation


• Highly knowledgeable of systems and network administration, application development, and business continuity plans


• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a similar technology related field is required; Masters degree is preferred


• Must be a highly effective written and oral communicator with both technical and nontechnical audiences
