Responsibilities
Strategic Vision and Omnichannel Leadership
- Architect and lead enterprise lifecycle and acquisition strategies across Email, SMS, Display, Paid Social, and programmatic media, orchestrating personalized, multi-touch prospect and client journeys.
- Own the multi-year Salesforce Marketing Cloud roadmap, driving platform architecture, tech-stack integrations, data model maturity, and automation governance to support rapid company scaling.
- Define and manage channel budgets, vendor relationships, and media allocations to achieve CAC, LTV, conversion, and ROI benchmarks.
Experimentation, Data, and MarTech Architecture
- Establish an enterprise experimentation framework and rigorous learning agenda, overseeing multivariate testing (MVT), dynamic content strategies, deliverability optimization, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) across touchpoints.
- Partner with Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering teams to ingest predictive scoring, machine-learning attribution models, and behavioral data into SFMC for advanced segmentation, churn prevention, and next-best-action automation.
- Design, standardize, and monitor executive reporting dashboards (leveraging Dash or other BI tools) to communicate channel performance, attribution insights, and strategic pipeline growth to C-suite stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Governance and Compliance
- Serve as the strategic business partner to Legal, Compliance, Product, Sales, and Client Services, establishing robust governance protocols for consumer privacy, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and financial regulatory standards.
- Spearhead mobile-first digital product experiences, coordinating with Creative and Product teams to ensure responsive architecture, accessibility, inbox placement, and frictionless customer enrollment pathways.
- Oversee agency, vendor, and platform partnerships, holding third-party teams accountable to high delivery standards, contractual SLAs, and efficient cost structures.
Team Leadership and Organizational Culture
- Build, mentor, and influence a high-performing digital marketing organization, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and accountability.
- Establish standard operating procedures, documentation, and scalable playbooks for journey orchestration, campaign QA, and deliverability monitoring across the department.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership in performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, and digital acquisition, with demonstrated expertise in consumer financial services, fintech, or similarly regulated, high-volume consumer industries.
- Platform Mastery: 8+ years of hands-on and architectural leadership within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, MobileConnect, Contact Builder/Data Extensions, AMPscript, and integrations with core CRMs and CDPs.
- Strategic & Analytical Acumen: Proven track record designing multi-channel A/B and multivariate testing programs, full-funnel CRO, multi-touch attribution modeling, and customer segmentation strategies.
- Data & BI Proficiency: Advanced command of data-driven storytelling and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Domo) alongside web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Leadership & Influence: Demonstrated ability to manage, develop, and scale marketing talent, with executive presence and proven influence across C-level executives, technical teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience; relevant Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Consultant or Email Specialist) preferred.
