As the Director of Marketing, you will oversee, coordinate and participate in the development of marketing strategies for the organization. This position will collaborate with business stakeholders to create new and/or improved avenues to increase visibility and promote the 2nd Swing brand. You will be responsible for assessing and creating your company’s marketing strategy and then planning, coordinating and directing marketing efforts. You will also conduct competitor research and demand for an organization’s services and products. This role is located onsite in Eden Prairie, MN.

Key Responsibilities:
Leading the marketing team in the execution of all elements of the strategic marketing plan.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to evaluate strategic plan.
Development and monitoring of marketing budget to include all downstream marketing elements.
Develop and maintain brand guidelines including deployment of environmental branding at all retail locations.
Gathers and analyzes information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
Conducts market research, sales forecasting, and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sale and profitability of products.
Conducts pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the market; identifies needs for new products and services and makes recommendations to leadership.
Negotiates contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy.
Composes, develops, evaluates, and conducts training on marketing activities, strategies, and policies.
Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains supervisory and management staff in the department.
Required Qualifications:
Thorough understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and sell products and services
Experience managing the marketing function including strategy execution and management of a budget
Experience leading a team of direct reports and including across an organization
Experience playing golf at a competitive or collegiate level
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to create, implement, and monitor budgets.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions and priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing.
At least ten years of experience in Retail and/ or Sporting Goods marketing or a related field.
In-depth knowledge of the golf industry.
Maintain a 10 handicap or better

Compensation:
Pay range for this position is $88,000 - $152,000 based on experience.
