Director of Nursing – Adult Services

Latham Centers is seeking an experienced nursing leader to oversee our Adult Services Nursing and Medical Department. The Director of Nursing provides clinical leadership, ensures high-quality medical care, supports regulatory compliance, and collaborates with medical, clinical, and residential teams to meet the complex health needs of the individuals we serve. This role is ideal for an experienced RN who is passionate about leadership, quality care, and making a difference in the lives of adults with complex special needs.
Location: Yarmouth Port, MA
Compensation $110,000–$115,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

What You'll Do
- Lead and support the Adult Services nursing and medical team.
- Develop, revise, and implement medical, nursing, and MAP-related policies and procedures.
- Supervise nursing staff through regular individual and group meetings and performance evaluations.
- Oversee safe and effective medication administration in accordance with Massachusetts MAP guidelines.
- Manage MAP training compliance, including initial training, recertifications, and targeted training.
- Provide nursing consultation for high-level medical concerns and participate in on-call support.
- Provide required medical trainings, orientation, and education to staff.
- Ensure timely completion of medical appointments and follow-up care.
- Audit Health Care Records and oversee medical record filing systems.
- Maintain compliance with DDS, DPH, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
- Monitor medical risks and communicate important updates to multidisciplinary team members.
- Participate in leadership, management, and clinical team meetings.
- Maintain current knowledge of medical best practices related to Prader-Willi Syndrome.
What We're Looking For
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Massachusetts RN license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing management experience
- Psychiatric or special needs experience preferred
- Valid driver's license
- CPI certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Ability to obtain DPH MAP Instructor certification
- Strong leadership, organization, time management, and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions during challenging situations
- Ability to work collaboratively with individuals, families, medical providers, and community resources
