Director of Outside Sales | Monsey, NY · $150K–$250K base + Bonus

A well-established distribution company is seeking a Director of Outside Sales to lead its outside sales team and drive revenue growth. This is a strategic leadership role for someone with a strong track record in sales management, ready to expand the company's footprint. You'll set the sales vision, coach a team of managers and reps, and be a key voice at the leadership table.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Growth

• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue goals, identifying growth opportunities and market trends


• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, to expand the company's presence.


• Conduct supply and demand research and modify sales programs based on competitor standards

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of outside sales representatives and sales managers


• Hire and train additional sales managers


• Implement training programs to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team


• Teach sales managers how to coach their teams on creative problem solving and customer engagement

Client & Performance Management

• Build and nurture strong relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders


• Demonstrate expertise in the company's product offerings to effectively communicate value to clients


• Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, preparing detailed forecasts and reports for executive leadership


• Keep leadership apprised of progress toward targets and company performance


• Collaborate with marketing, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure a cohesive customer experience

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of proven success in outside sales leadership


• Several years of experience building and managing a sales team


• Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills


• Strong business development skills and ability to identify growth opportunities


• Results-driven, strategic mindset with a get-it-done attitude


• Ability to travel as needed
