Director of Tax Planning

Our client, an established media company near Dulles, VA,  is searching for a Senior Manager-to-Director of Tax Planning to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Seek opportunities to optimize tax positions.
• Research and monitor new federal and state tax legislation.
• Identify potential issues in tax preparation; Offer alternative solutions.
• Liaise with M&A and BD teams to identify tax risks and liabilities.
• Support tax reporting team with forecasting, reporting and compliance.
• Contribute to audit preparation.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as requested.

• 10 – 15 years of progressive federal and state tax experience.
• Big 4 background.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• JD or CPA license.
• Proficiency with tax systems.
