Director of Young Adult Housing 

The Director of  Young Adult Housing provides leadership, strategic direction, and oversight for youth drop-in centers, housing programs and social enterprise programs within FosterAdopt Connect’s Connect Café. This position leads teams and programs serving older youth and young adults who are currently or formerly involved in foster care and/or experiencing housing instability.

The Director works to ensure high-quality services, strong program outcomes, and compliance with applicable funding requirements while developing community and housing partnerships and expanding opportunities for safe, affordable housing. This position also develops expertise in HUD funding, supports sustainable funding efforts, and helps connect young adults with employment, education, transportation, financial resources, and other community supports.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, nonprofit management, or a related field required with a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience in the housing industry.


• Minimum of three years of experience in housing, child welfare, homelessness prevention, young adult services, or a related field.


• Knowledge and expertise in federal HUD funding streams and processes.


• Strong leadership ability, interpersonal skills and team management with the ability to train and develop staff.


• Travel required with or without accommodation.
