Kroll’s US Restructuring practice represents both debtors and creditors in matters requiring customized, high quality analysis and insights. Kroll distinguishes itself in matters of particularly complexity, involving a breach of trust or requiring international reach or deep industry insight.

Our Restructuring team leverages the full capabilities of Kroll’s global platform, including our industry-leading valuation and opinions practices, our expert witness and investigations practices and our transaction advisory services. Dedicated industry verticals in banking and valuation provide invaluable insights typically only seen in bulge bracket firms.

The US Restructuring practice has recently been constituted as a devoted team led by five MDs each with 20+ years of experience in the industry. Kroll’s global restructuring practice boasts over 400 professionals in approximately 15 jurisdictions.  Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day execution of restructuring and special situation investment banking transactions for the Real Estate Sector, including support of Managing Directors
• Raise rescue and DIP financing
• Oversee stressed and distressed real estate financings and dispositions
• Negotiate restructuring plans
• Advise companies and their creditors in financial distress including pre-crisis situations, out-of-court workouts, and Chapter 11 reorganizations
• Interface directly with clients and other stakeholders
• Prepare and present work product for internal and external use
• Ensure quality of work product by having a strong attention to detail
• Support business development activities, including developing personal relationships and opportunities
• Mentor and develop staff - Vice Presidents and below
• Individuals will be assigned a wide variety of projects and given as much responsibility as their experience and capabilities permit

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years financial advisory, real estate industry, mortgage finance or investment banking experience, with at least 5 years in a devoted restructuring/bankruptcy/special situations role within the real estate sector
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance (or related field) or an MBA from a top tier university and/or CFA or 10 or more years equivalent real estate industry experience in a major United States market as a licensed professional.  To the extent a candidate does not hold a Bachelor’s degree at the time of employment, the candidate must obtain a Bachelor’s degree within eighteen (18) months of being employed by Kroll.
• Demonstrated experience managing client relationships, projects and staff
• Strong business development skills
• Ability to communicate financial information and complex strategic issues in a clear, concise and relevant manner
• Ability to quickly and effectively process and analyze information and make recommendations accordingly
• Strong knowledge of corporate finance and experience with financial research tools
• Expertise within the field of restructuring
• Well-developed analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in fast-paced, multi-task environment; willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary: $150,000 - $300,000
