Job Description
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Supply Chain to lead the Supply Chain organization for the Force-X business within Targeting & Sensor Systems (TSS). This is a high-impact leadership opportunity supporting a rapidly growing business with operations primarily located in Nashville, Tennessee and Huntsville, Alabama — two vibrant and expanding markets with strong talent pipelines, thriving defense and technology communities, and significant business momentum.
This role is ideal for a proven leader who thrives in a growth environment and is energized by the opportunity to help shape an evolving organization. The Director will play a critical role in scaling supply chain capabilities to support increasing business demand, new program growth, and operational excellence. With approximately $100M–$200M in annual spend managed by the supply chain team, this position has broad responsibility across procurement and subcontracts, along with accountability for organizational development, staffing, supplier performance, and cross-functional business partnership.
The Director will lead a rapidly growing organization, directly supervising team members and overseeing an overall organizational headcount of approximately 7–10 employees, while driving active recruiting, onboarding, and talent development. This leader will be responsible for building and staffing the Supply Chain organization in alignment with program requirements, departmental budgets, and long-range growth plans.
A key measure of success in this role will be the ability to develop a high-performing organization while engaging early with engineering and program teams to influence product and program design decisions — including VAMPIRE and related programs — to achieve strong supply chain outcomes. The successful candidate will also be expected to deliver year-over-year productivity improvements in supplier quality, cost, and lead time.
This position reports directly to the Division GM of Force-X, a member of the Sector Leadership Team, and maintains a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Supply Chain/Operations function.
