Director Technology - Mobile

• Provide long-term technical and architectural leadership for the
  design, development, and evolution of Android-based mobile point-of-sale
  platforms, including handheld devices, tablet systems, and customer-facing
  self-checkout kiosks.
  
• Design and define system-level architecture for mobile commerce
  solutions, including application frameworks, integration patterns, cloud
  connectivity, messaging systems, and platform APIs to support enterprise-scale
  retail operations.
  
• Analyze business and operational requirements and translate them
  into technical specifications, architectural standards, and multi-year
  technology roadmaps in collaboration with product, business, and engineering
  stakeholders.
  
• Provide technical oversight and governance to mobile engineering
  teams by reviewing architectural designs, establishing development standards,
  guiding complex technical implementations, and ensuring maintainability,
  security, and performance of mobile applications.
  
• Collaborate with systems and cloud engineering teams to design,
  review, and support high-availability, fault-tolerant, and secure
  infrastructure for mobile payment processing and distributed POS environments.
  
• Oversee the integration of mobile applications with specialized POS
  hardware and peripheral devices, including payment terminals, printers,
  scanners, and card readers, ensuring compliance with industry and regulatory
  standards such as PCI and EMV.
  
• Consult with enterprise clients, technology partners, and senior
  leadership to present architectural solutions, conduct technical evaluations,
  and support strategic planning and pre-sales initiatives.
  
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends
  related to mobile platforms, payment systems, security, and retail technology,
  and provide technical recommendations to support long-term innovation and
  product strategy
