Job Description - Director/Senior Director - Recruiting

Job Description

  • Develop programs and metrics to ensure, first and foremost, that we’re meeting the hiring goals of the organization
  • Continue building the team – both in numbers and capability levels – including direct management and development of recruitment leaders over Technology, Sales and Marketing, Professional Services, Recruiting Operations and College Programs
  • Develop the recruiting team footprint and methodology to support Workday’s global expansion plans, including readying the function to scale rapidly
  • Work with Marketing, Employee Communications and HR Business Partners to revamp Workday’s employment branding and associated collateral
  • Design and deploy creative pipeline generation methodologies, especially in hard-to-fill position areas
  • Develop methodologies for tracking the effectiveness and efficiency of the Recruiting function
  • Support the continued development of the recruiting operations functions
    • Process improvement and documentation
    • Role stratification for efficiency
    • Instituting detailed MBOs for recruiter evaluation and bonus calculation
    • Tighter recruiting vendor management
    • Recruiter certification programs
    • Employee referral program
  • Support the implementation and further use expansion of Jobvite (ATS)
  • Support the expansion and enhancement of Workday’s highly regarded College Program (Generation Workday)
  • Work with Talent Management and HRBPs to develop predicative tools for recruiting
  • Work with Talent Management to develop an internal “recruitment” methodology and process

Qualifications

  • An approach to the recruitment function that blends the need to be efficient and high-volume in processes, while still maintaining a high-touch, service-oriented candidate and hiring manager experience
  • 15+ years recruiting experience, including 2 or more years in a high-growth company
  • 3+ years experience managing and developing others in the recruiting function, including management level individuals (and, preferably, managing remote teams)
  • Recruitment experience in the Bay Area, especially in software companies
  • Demonstrated success building a recruiting team including people, goals, processes and metrics
  • Demonstrated success developing and deploying creative, effective candidate pipeline development methodologies
  • Experience interacting with the executive level of a company
  • Team orientation, but the ability to act independently
  • Humility; the desire to give/share credit, rather than taking it
  • Passion for coaching and developing others – both direct reports and others around you
  • A sense of humor, fun and playfulness
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness
  • High integrity
  • Natural service orientation
  • Strong work ethic; bias toward action, implementation and speed
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presenting
  • Executive presence
  • (preferred) Global recruitment experience
  • (preferred) Jobvite ATS experience
  • (preferred) Experience using Workday HR
