Responsibilities:

1. Wash and sanitize dishes and utensils:

   • Load, operate, and unload dishwashing equipment, such as dishwashers and three-compartment sinks.
   • Wash dishes, glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils by hand if necessary.
   • Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of all items before storing or reusing them.

2. Maintain cleanliness and organization:

   • Keep dishwashing area and equipment clean, sanitized, and free of clutter.
   • Empty trash and recycling bins regularly.
   • Sweep and mop floors in the dishwashing area and other designated areas as needed.

3. Assist with kitchen cleanliness:

   • Support the kitchen staff in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
   • Clean food preparation areas, equipment, and appliances as directed.
   • Follow proper cleaning and sanitization procedures to meet health and safety standards.

4. Support kitchen operations:

   • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of kitchen supplies and equipment.
   • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient flow of dishes and utensils for food preparation.

5. Follow health and safety regulations:

   • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene guidelines.
   • Handle and store hazardous cleaning chemicals properly.
   • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to management.

Skills Required:

• Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
