About the Role

Our kitchen doesn't run without the Utility Worker. You are the person who keeps clean plates moving to the line, keeps the dish room and kitchen sanitary, and keeps the whole operation on its feet during a busy service. It's physical, fast-paced work — and it's the backbone of every meal we serve to our members and guests.

Utility Workers wash and sanitize all dishes, pots, serving containers, tools, and utensils; maintain a clean and safe work station; and clean and sanitize floors, work surfaces, and kitchen/serving equipment. Depending on the day and the operation, you may be assigned a specific focal area such as the beverage area, dish room, main kitchen, or serving area.

Compensation

$15.00 - $17.00 depending experience

What You'll Do

  • Maintain the sanitary condition of dishes, utensils, glasses, pots, pans, equipment, and the kitchen in accordance with department standards

  • Remove from service any dishes, utensils, or glassware that are damaged or broken

  • Stock delivered food and non-food items

  • Empty and clear garbage bins and break down boxes

  • Perform deep cleaning of the kitchen and equipment

  • Attend all training and department meetings as assigned

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment at all times

  • Help maintain a safe working environment through accident prevention, care of equipment, and safe work practices

  • Maintain a positive, professional demeanor toward all guests, associates, and management

  • Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment

  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen

  • Knowledge of — or willingness to learn — standard cleaning methods and dishwashing equipment

  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions

  • Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with teammates and guests

  • Dependability — you show up, follow through, and take ownership of your work

  • Teamwork — you pitch in, welcome feedback, and put the team's success first

  • Adaptability — you roll with schedule changes, volume swings, and the unexpected
