ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures safety equipment is available and utilized.
- Leads, coaches, mentors, and trains a small team in order to achieve required production levels.
- Enforces safety and sanitation regulations.
- Coordinates the activities of employees engaged in the production or processing of materials.
- Confers with supervisors to coordinate activities within or between departments.
- Inspects materials, products, or equipment, to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Performs daily safety activities.
- Ensures employees are trained in safe work practices.
- Ensures safety equipment is available and utilized.
- Creates daily work plan to meet production schedule.
- Provides information regarding project status and completion to production supervisor.
- Provides paths for continuous development of employees.
- Sets employee goals and objectives.
- Conducts employee evaluations.
- Administers company policies and procedures in regards to employment; conducts discipline and dismissals.
- The Leadperson will have more than fifteen employees reporting to this position.
REQUIREMENTS FOR LEAD PERSON:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; at least one year of DIS-TRAN experience required
- Fabrication experience is required
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is preferred
- Epicor experience preferred
- Self‐motivated with the ability to work well with others
- Ability to effectively communicate, both written and orally
- Thorough understanding of Fitting, Welding and Cutting SOP
- Thorough understanding of employee JSA
