Job Description - District Data Coordinator

ARLCS Data Coordinator

Job Overview

  • Manage the flow of student data between various software systems.
  • Work with school registrars to ensure accurate and consistent data entry in eSchool.
  • Become a local “expert” and assist and train other people in the district on software utilization.
  • Manage the synchronization of student/employee data from various sources to the dozens of software and services that we use.
  • Assist software/services users with initial implementation.
  • Maintain local databases that house student/employee data.
  • Create reports as needed by stakeholders.
  • Submit accurate data to ADE DESE for funding, data reporting.

Essential Job Functions(but not limited to):

Data Management: Oversee the collection, validation, and reporting of student and
staff data to ensure compliance with APSCN guidelines and state mandates.

Collaboration: Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and IT staff to streamline data processes and resolve any issues related to data entry and reporting.

Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to district personnel on data entry procedures, software tools, and best practices for data management.

Reporting: Prepare and submit required reports to state and federal agencies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.

Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits of data entries to identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures as needed.

Policy Compliance: Stay updated on relevant state and federal data collection policies and ensure district compliance with these regulations.

Data Analysis: Analyze collected data to provide insights that inform district planning, resource allocation, and instructional strategies.

Standards: General working knowledge of the rules for Standards for Accreditation of Arkansas as they apply Standards for Accreditation to all public schools and public school districts for the purpose of determining accreditation of the schools and the district.

Travel: Office-based within the district, with some travel to schools as needed for training and support.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent, CFO, or designee.


Requirements:

This full-time position requires a person who has the technical knowledge and sufficient understanding to comprehend the entire scope of technology administrative and instructional utilization in a school district. This person must be accurate and organized, a problem-solver, able to work with others to solve complex situations, maintain confidentiality and implement technology utilization. 

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Understanding of Google Admin, eSchool, Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills. You will be interacting with various administrators and other support staff throughout the district.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Documentation and process oriented, keep documentation up to date.
  • Ability to train educators and support staff in the use of software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the organization.

Basic Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience data management.
  • Ability to pass background check
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.


Contract Days: 240
Schedule : 8:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Start: Immediate
