Job Summary

 The Donor Advisor cultivates a portfolio of 150 to 200 donors with major gift capacity for all Hope Media Group brands. The Donor Advisor plans and implements Individual Development Plans with each portfolio donor or prospect. IDPs include matching donors’ passions and interests with brands, projects and initiatives at Hope Media Group; care for the donor; donor communications and impact reporting; gift solicitations with individual donors, foundations, and corporations; and nurturing a life of generosity in each donor. The Donor Advisor is attentive to donor’s spiritual needs, while helping their team to do the same. The Donor Advisor prays with donors as needed. 

Essential Functions

Portfolio Stewardship:

• Engages, shepherds, and solicits a portfolio of qualified donors in support of all Hope Media Group brands and programs · 
• Contributes to the formation and development of the Stewardship Division’s strategic goals and annual plans 
• Creates annual Individual Development Plans to cultivate portfolio donors and integrating moves strategies to upgrade gifts and eventually motivate transformational giving  
• Builds and stewards relationships with portfolio donors 
• Identifies, cultivates and solicits prospective donors 
• Creates, maintains, and updates complete donor data in CRM 
• Engages with donors in a variety of ways to identify specific donor HMG brand interest(s) and build connection to other HMG brands 
• Responds to and resolves donor requests and inquiries promptly and professionally 
• Invites, hosts and follows up with donors with HMG events including galas, gatherings and concerts 
• Provides ongoing spiritual care to portfolio, including praying with donors on phone calls and in-person as appropriate 
• Works with President, Chief of Development, Senior Vice President of Stewardship and leadership team members to coordinate meetings with major donors Seeks and creates opportunities to deepen donor experiences with Hope Media Group brands
• Inspires donors during experiences such as tours of Hope Media Group campus and studios 
• Attends events such as breakfasts, galas, sports competitions, rodeos, vision trips, and pre-concert dinners to engage with donors and prospects (requires early mornings, some evenings and some weekends.)

 Campaign Development:

• Contributes to major donor appeals, solicitation proposals, newsletters, and other supporting literature. 
• Supports New Donor team with pledge drives, especially as related to major donor solicitation. 
• Collaborates with Marketing, Programming, Production, Prayer and other departments to ensure consistent branding and communication. 
• Promotes with all campaigns, including Capital Campaigns 
• Helps plan and execute major donor events and other experiences 

Demonstrated Faith:

• Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be spiritually grounded and biblically literate. 
• Comfortable praying for co-workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies. 
• Lives by the Christian principles defined by the Ministry Statement of Faith. 
• Participates in on-air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed. 
• Has a passion for leveraging the platform of radio for evangelism and discipleship.  
• Exhibits a strong moral character. 
• Is an active member of a Bible believing local church. 

Non-Essential Functions:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but not required if has customer service experience

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in development/fundraising for non-profit organizations
• Demonstrated success in securing major gifts
• Experience in creating planned giving strategies and programs. 
• Experience with capital campaigns.
• Knowledge of the local or regional environment and major influencers, a plus

• Skilled at positioning a funding offer and making the ask.
• Demonstrates strong moral, ethical and relational skills.
• Desires and shows willingness to pray for others.
• Sound understanding of the theology of fundraising and fundraising ethics.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel & Teams. Proficiency with Allegiance. Ability to be trained on Microsoft Dynamics, WAVE, Charity Engine, Virtuous CRM and Raise Donors

Working Conditions and Environment

Travel:

• Local travel as needed

Nights/Weekends/Holidays:

• Occasional as event planner/participant.
• Occasional for conferences or retreats.
